2. In short
This website does not use cookies for advertising or analytics, and it uses no tracking or statistics services. Whatever you enter into the calculators is processed in your browser only and is not sent to us.
3. Hosting and delivery via Cloudflare
This website is delivered via Cloudflare Pages, provided by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you visit the site, Cloudflare processes technically necessary data, in particular your IP address, date and time of access, the requested address and information about your browser and operating system. This is needed to deliver the site, protect it against attacks and detect errors.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The legitimate interest lies in providing the website securely and reliably. Cloudflare may set technically necessary cookies used solely to defend against attacks and automated access (§ 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG).
Cloudflare processes this data as a processor under Art. 28 GDPR. The data processing agreement is part of Cloudflare's terms of service. Log data is only kept as long as needed for delivery, security and troubleshooting and is then deleted by Cloudflare.
Data may be transferred to the USA. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. More information: Cloudflare privacy policy.
4. Calculator input
Whatever you enter into the calculators is processed locally in your browser only. For the gear calculator that is weight, power, gradient and the selected components, for the bike fit calculator the measurements of frame, cockpit and saddle position, for the tire pressure calculator weights and tire width. To make results shareable, the inputs appear in the address bar. If you share such a link, the recipient can see these values. They are not sent to us, but like any requested address they may appear in Cloudflare's technical logs.
If you tick Remember my bike on this device in the bike fit calculator, the measurements of your current bike are stored in your browser's local storage, so you don't have to enter them again on your next visit. Without the tick nothing is stored. The legal basis is your consent under Section 25 (1) TDDDG and Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. The data stays on your device and is not sent to us. You can withdraw your consent at any time by removing the tick, which deletes the stored values.
5. Contact by email
If you email us, we process your details to answer your request. Emails to [email protected] are forwarded via Cloudflare Email Routing to a mailbox at Google (Gmail). Cloudflare and Google process the content and sender details of your email in the process. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The data is deleted once it is no longer needed for this purpose and no statutory retention obligations apply.
6. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). Please contact the email address above.
Right to object: Where data is processed on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation.
You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia.
